My friend and fellow artist, Keith Brenizer and I painted this during worship at Christ Community Church January 17, 2021. It is a picture of the lion of Judah breaking through the spiritual warfare that is going on in the heavenly realms. It’s as if his head has poked through the veil. His eyes speak of his love while his jaw is set in righteous judgement. It is red white and blue representing our country. The red also speaks of his blood that was shed for us. His blood continues to speak today.
Worshipful Art is a creative expression of worship which is simultaneously inspired by and given back to God. Deborah starts in front of a congregation/audience with a blank canvas and no particular image in mind. As she prays and paints, God reveals what He wants made manifest through her hand at each gathering. Those present get to enjoy the unfolding of God’s 'visual' message before their very eyes.
